Kerbal Space Program is a space ship simulating game that is currently under development. Using basic building blocks you can create a multi-stage rocket and attempt to send it into orbit all while ensuring that the Kerbal astronauts inside stay alive! What seems simple becomes hilarious when your rocket tilts off axis and comes slamming down back to Earth. Or if you are even less fortunate your rocket may explode as soon as you attempt liftoff!
So, Deep Games will be hosting a Kerbal Space Program competition!
To get started go to http://kerbalspaceprogram.com and download the game. It’s free and no installation is required.
There are two different categories:
Highest Altitude
This is pretty self explanatory. Whoever creates the rocket that ascends the highest wins!
Craziest/Most Creative Ship
Make the most insane, physically unreasonable rocket you can imagine. This also extends to the actual flight, so the crazier the stuff it does in flight the better. Also, the one condition is that the rocket must actually get off the ground.
The competition starts right now and ends midnight (EST) on Saturday, August 6th.
To submit your spacecraft either post an image of it in our imgDump, post a video on Youtube, or do it live on stream! The winner of each category will be decided by the community. The winner of each category will receive a prize (I haven’t decided yet what it is) and an honorary Deep Games image plague type thing!
